Expansion Set on Green Screen for Fisher-Price TV Commercial

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Video Renders

This is a commercial video render made for TV advertise of the famous Thomas Obsessed Fisher-Price train toy. This spot has been a challenge due to the complexity of the structure and real camera tracking. I had to do a lot of 3D modelling in Maya, like all the trains 3D Models and the Railway King’s Cross Station 3D model. I did the entire job just looking reference pictures of the railway station, without measurements or blueprints. Dept of field and motion blur are made in 3d and rendered inside Maya using Arnold Render to achieve the realistic render look for the expansion set on green screen.

Commercial TV Spot for GEOMAG CLASSIC: Realistic Video Render in Maya

I made this video render in Autodesk Maya using the default render engine (Arnold). It is a great tool to achieve realistic renders in Maya to match the studio footages made on the green screen. To make the expansion set I had to do some Maya modeling of the Geomag Toys and the Geomag World. The train also was modeled in Maya using polygonal subdivisions and glossy realistic materials.

This commercial represents a great collaboration with Mark TV & Communication where I created the ambient and locations for Geomag classic toys. Camera tracking, 3d models, renders and special effects are done almost entirely inside Autodesk Maya.

This promo video, of a bike race using Magnetic Days’s Jarvis, has been filmed on green screen. Any the ambient were created with Autodesk Maya. The realistic renders have been made with the help of Arnold for Maya outputting an HD video render. The special effects and are done inside Maya using Mash Dynamics.

I’ve been inspired by the architectures and the style of legendary movies like Aliens by Ridley Scott to create the world around the athletes. At first, I created the geometry using hard-modeling techniques, then I created a dramatic light setup to wrap the actor in a futuristic and mysterious world.
